Maison Krug commissioned us to compose a piece of music that sounds like their champagne. This is used for the music pairing of the new KRUG Grande Cuvée 171ème Edition.

The cellar master Julie Cavil introduced us to the complex process of creating a prestige champagne, which is in many ways very similar to creating and orchestrating a piece of music. Hence, we composed "La Célébration" which is our interpretation of tasting this Grande Cuvée.

In this short Making-of you can discover our thoughts behind this bubbly composition and the fruitful collaboration with the symphonic orchestra Musikkollegium Winterthur and their chief conductor Roberto González-Monjas, with whom we were able to bring this piece to life.
